Sarah Aphrodite Stolwijk was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 1979. After traveling around the world and graduating from the Arnhem Academy for Art & Design, she moved to New York City in 2006. There she began to build her line and teach fashion design at Parsons, the New School for Design.
She aims to develop sustainable, low-impact production methods, and often recycles existing and antique goods mixed with new materials. She uses a vast collection of fabrics hand-picked from different countries.
Inspired and in love with the animal kingdom, Sarah does not use any fur or leather, unless it is recycled or specifically donated.
